Over the last 18 months God has been leading the Stevenage Vineyard in lots of new and exciting opportunities. From better meeting the needs of those struggling in Stevenage, to the life of the church, to preparing for a new church building.
We have just been given notice to terminate our Sunday morning meetings at Thomas Alleyne School. The decision has been made due to cuts in school resources meaning that the site will no longer be open on Sundays. After 15 years residency on this site we have been told that the last date for meeting is Oct 11th 2015.
Yes this was a surprise! But in view of all the other changes currently taking place in Stevenage Vineyard it does seem to be a great opportunity to look forward and to review properties that better reflect the kind of Church we want to become. So we will be looking for another Sunday morning letting for the short to medium term.
We are expectant that this change will bring us to the next phase of the Stevenage Vineyard.
the day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.
In that day people will come to you – Micah 7.11
Over the coming weeks we will keep you informed as the situation becomes clearer. We are already looking at options, but please bear with us as we explore all the alternatives out there. Please be praying for favour with landlords, agents and of course, the right property. We believe that God’s hand is on this as he leads us to better serve Stevenage, a town that he loves dearly.
We will be holding a Prayer Meeting next Sunday evening, 27th September, 7.30pm, at the Vineyard Centre. Everyone is invited and we will include a time for questions and answers on the options and information we have. We would love you to be there as we follow and are led by God in this important juncture in the life of the Stevenage Vineyard.
