Serving

To make Sundays happen, we need everyone to get involved and help out. We believe that by serving others, we serve Jesus and His purposes. All our teams run on a rota-basis and we ask that you just serve one week a month (or more, if you want to!) – if we all do that, we get things done!

Welcome

The Welcome Team are the first point of contact for all our visitors and guests and do everything to put them at ease and ensure they know where to go, find out about us and answer any questions. If you enjoy making other people feel comfortable and safe, then this could be the team for you.

Hospitality

Our Hospitality Team are one of the most important Sunday morning teams – they provide Tea, Coffee and Doughnuts! We serve refreshments during our services. The team set up and set down the refreshments area, lay out the tea, coffee, doughnuts, biscuits and fruits.

Set-Up / Set-Down

Have you ever wondered how a school building becomes a church? It’s all down to our magnificent Set-up and Set-down teams. Each Sunday the teams transform our school building into Stevenage Vineyard, where members and visitors alike can enjoy church. If you like transforming spaces and generally lend a helping hand, this could be the team for you!

PA Setup

The PA team works to ensure that the band, readers and preachers can be heard, and that lyrics, Bible readings and song lyrics can be seen on the big screen. This is very much a facilitating ministry. We are always open to new recruits, and have a range of roles, from the technical: operating the sound desk or laptop during the service, to the physical: plugging in cables, setting up speakers. Full training is provided and all or no levels of skill are welcome.

Children & Youth

From our children through to our youth, we seek to help our children grow in the relationship with God, and in the gifts and talents He has given them. We want them to have fun on a Sunday morning and to enjoy being in church. If you love children and teenagers and you want to help them grow in faith, or just want to lend a practical helping hand, this could be the ministry for you!

Prayer

The Prayer Team are a very important part of our Sunday service. They meet up a little while before the service hearing from God and offer to pray with individuals towards the end of the service in a safe and confidential environment. If you enjoy coming alongside other people and supporting them in prayer while making them feel valued, comfortable, safe, then this could be the team for you.
