Team Co-ordinator (Volunteer Post)
Term: Long term appointment (Minimum 12 Months) in Cambodia Salary: Volunteer position
Working hours: Flexible, however normal ofﬁce hours are 8am to 4.30 Holidays: All local holidays are provided, plus Christmas. As this is an international volunteer role, dispensation is given to allow home visits as necessary
Introduction Care for Cambodia is a Christian NGO focused on education in rural Cambodia. (www.careforcambodia.org.kh) Its vision and heart is to see Cambodians become Believers and work towards the advancement of their own country. However, it is also recognised that foreign funds, mentoring and advice can catalyse this process. Accordingly, CfC is seeking a motivated, friendly, articulate and passionate individual or couple to assist with engaging and managing visiting teams.
Key tasks – Promote CfC and stimulate interest from foreign visitors; both individual and team visitors. – Tailor team schedules according to speciﬁc needs (both visitor and NGO needs) – Provide oversight and leadership for visiting teams – Post-visit follow-up
Secondary tasks – Engage with CfC children’s, youth and family projects providing operational insight or advice. – Assist in mentoring CFC’s current staff. – Suggest ideas for future organisational projects, programs & strategy – Assist with writing grant proposals – Work with Deputy Director in the role of International Communications.
Desired criteria – Committed and mature Christian – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people of varying nationalities/ cultures. – Ability to assess priorities and deadlines, both independently and as a member of a team – IT skills including MS Ofﬁce, Email & various Social Media platforms. – Willingness to learn from others; teachable – Can adapt to change – A willingness to embrace local culture and invest in some local language learning.
