Our History

We started in 1998 as a church planted out of the St Albans Vineyard.  At that time we felt that "Stevenage needed a place of mercy".  That was God's heart for us, so we acted.

From the beginning we have tried to maintain an outward look to how we do church in order to demonstrate that mercy in Stevenage and the surrounding areas.  That emphasis underpins the way we do church . . .

  • We love Jesus and want to show that love to the town of Stevenage and to everyone who lives in or around it.  We do this in all sorts of practical ways.
  • Our services are geared towards all types of people, ages and ethnicity.  So, all who visit can feel comfortable and relaxed in the presence of God in an environment that isn't very religious.
  • Our office has been in Park Place since 2005, right in the centre of the town, accessible to all visitors, residents and members to drop in throughout the week.  We have been served notice to vacate Park Place by the end of March 2016 and are currently looking for a new venue for our church offices.
